Common questions from engineering consultants
Will you work white-label under our name?
Yes. On subconsultant engagements the deliverable is yours to present, and we are happy not to appear in front of your client at all. We do ask that the modeling assumptions travel with the deliverable, because the work is only defensible in review if whoever presents it can explain those.
Can you take over a model somebody else built?
Usually. We start with a review of the existing model's assumptions and calibration before extending it, because inheriting an uncalibrated or poorly conditioned model without checking it means inheriting its errors under your name. If the review finds problems we will say so before proceeding.
What turnaround can you commit to?
A focused hydraulic study typically runs three to eight weeks depending on data availability and structure count. We would rather quote an honest date and meet it than a fast one and miss it — a late specialist component on a prime contract is worse than a realistic one.
