Hydraulic Modeling

1D and 2D river hydraulics, floodplain mapping, and structure analysis using HEC-RAS — from bridge scour studies to basin-wide inundation mapping.

Our hydraulic modeling team designs, builds, and calibrates 1D and 2D river models to answer questions that matter for infrastructure safety and flood risk management.

Core Capabilities

We build steady and unsteady HEC-RAS 1D models for channel conveyance and structure (bridge/culvert) analysis, and full 2D unsteady models for floodplain inundation mapping, urban drainage interaction, and dam-break scenario analysis. Sediment transport and river morphology assessments are integrated where long-term channel stability is a concern.

Deliverables

Every hydraulic study produces flood hazard maps (extent, depth, velocity) at the return periods your regulator or design standard requires, structure-specific scour and afflux analysis, and a fully documented model package (geometry, boundary conditions, calibration record) that survives third-party technical review.

How We Work

Our process for this service

01

Discovery & Data Collection

We assess your objectives, gather available data, and identify gaps that need to be filled before analysis begins.

02

Modeling & Analysis

Our engineers and analysts build, run, and refine the models or spatial analysis needed to answer your question.

03

Validation & QA

Results are checked against observed data, independent methods, or field conditions before anything is finalized.

04

Delivery & Capacity Building

We deliver a documented, decision-ready output and, where useful, walk your team through how to use and maintain it.
