About Sign PDF

Draw a signature with your mouse, trackpad or finger, or type your name and let the tool render it in a handwriting style. Place it on whichever page you need, adjust the size, and download a new PDF with the signature stamped into the page content.

Because both the document and the signature stay in your browser, this is safe to use on agreements you would never upload to a free web service. Most online signing tools transmit the file to a server, which means the contents and your signature image sit on infrastructure you do not control. Nothing is transmitted here.

This produces a visible signature — an image drawn onto the page — which is what most agreements, internal approvals and returned forms actually need. It is not a cryptographic digital signature, and it does not carry an identity certificate.

How to use it

  1. 1Upload the PDF you need to sign.
  2. 2Draw your signature in the pad, or switch to the Type tab and enter your name.
  3. 3Pick the page and the position where the signature should land.
  4. 4Adjust the width if needed, then download the signed PDF.

Common uses

  • Signing a contract or NDA without emailing it to a signing service
  • Adding initials to each page of an agreement
  • Returning a completed form that needs a handwritten mark
  • Approving an internal document that never should leave the company network

Frequently asked questions

Is this a legally binding signature?

It produces a visible electronic signature, which many jurisdictions accept for ordinary agreements — but the legal weight depends on your country's rules and on the agreement itself. It is not a certificate-backed digital signature, so if a counterparty specifically requires a qualified or certificate-based signature, use a service that issues one.

Can someone remove my signature afterwards?

The signature is drawn into the page content rather than added as a removable annotation, so it will not simply toggle off in a PDF reader. It is still a visible mark on a document, not tamper-proof cryptography.

Is my signature stored anywhere?

No. The drawing exists only in your browser's memory while the tab is open, and is discarded when you leave. It is never uploaded, saved to an account, or reused.

Can I sign more than one page?

Yes. Sign and download, then run the output through the tool again for the next page. Each pass stamps one signature, which keeps the placement controls simple and predictable.
