GeoVeris Completes Urban Flood Risk Assessment for a Coastal Metropolitan Area

A 340 km² combined pluvial/fluvial flood model now underpins a $12M municipal drainage investment program.

GeoVeris has completed a comprehensive urban flood risk assessment for a coastal metropolitan area in the Mekong Delta, covering a 340 km² urban catchment across 14 sub-catchments.

The engagement combined EPA SWMM drainage network modeling with HEC-RAS 2D overland flow simulation, calibrated against three historic flood events, to produce a risk-ranked investment priority list for the municipality's drainage upgrade program.

The resulting analysis has directly informed the phasing of a $12M municipal drainage investment program, with the two highest-risk sub-catchments moved into Phase 1 construction. A follow-on engagement extending the study to 2050 and 2080 climate scenarios is now underway.
